Review

I read this book together with my daughter and we had the giggles from the first page! We felt like we were mini-beasts ourselves as the illustrations take us close-up and into the action of the small creatures. I loved the illustrations and their canvas painted appearance.

Poor Albert can not ‘right’ himself and the insects come up with a plan. My daughter really enjoyed looking at their drawn up plan, and we talked together about the creatures strengths and weaknesses! We were also able to name all the creatures together and we found this really fun.

The characters are funny and have their own identities, such as the Snooty snail and the Ant commander! The story is fun and exciting and was easy for a four year old to follow. She understood the whole story and this made it really enjoyable to read together.

Without spoiling the end, we found ourselves laughing a lot! Which was quickly met by an ‘again!’ from her. This book was a big hit with us!
