Review Policy

 My review policy

Hello this is my friendly review policy!

I review children’s books both nonfiction and fiction. I will review picture books, chapter books and middle grade books for children up to 12 years. I am not at this time reviewing young adult books.

I will accept review copies either in hard copy or electronic copy. Obviously like many book bloggers I prefer print copies for books with more than 100 pages. It’s easier on my eyes, and I love real books!

I live in the UK so please bear in mind that when offering to send me print books.

I will usually take up to two weeks to read and review a middle grade children’s book, whilst a picture book will usually take me up to three days.

I place my book reviews on this blog, NetGalley,Toppsta, Waterstones and Amazon.co.uk.

I am always give my honest opinion about any books that I read. I reserve the right not to post a review from a advance reader/ proof copy if it would be mostly negative.

If you would like me to review your book please DM me on Twitter, @Mellyme12 or leave me a comment on my blog and I will get back to you.

  1. Hi. This is Henry from @HenryRoiPR.

Children’s writer Carola Schmidt teamed up with the extraordinary teddy bear photographer Mark O'Dwyer for this uniquely adorable story of bravery.

The teddy bears tell a story of overcoming feelings of loss during cancer treatment, and find the courage to fight. It's a 5 minute read with the cutest high-quality images. We thought you might be interested in reviewing it. Here is a description:

WHEN A BRAVE BEAR FIGHTS CANCER

A whimsical, cuddle up with a cutie furball moment… Do you or your child need help understanding cancer or coping with treatment? You need a bear hug boost! The strong, positive and trustworthy message in this book—coming from teddy bears you'll want to hug!—is ideal for kids that are going through cancer treatment.

Carola Schmidt is an award-winning author of children's cancer books, and uses her experience as a pediatric oncology pharmacist to write scientific books for Springer Nature. You can usually find her on Twitter @_CarolaSchmidt.

Mark O'Dwyer is the Guardian of Scotty and a photographer and writer from Perth, Western Australia. He is the creator of the Mawson Bear book series and can be found on Twitter @Mawsonsguardian.
