Today's the day - it's the tea party parade! The kids are in their costumes and the teachers are marching too. Teacups are twirling, cake slices are spinning, and the big finale is going to be the best show of all!

Join in with all the fun of the parade in Nick Sharratt's beautiful new Little Gem. Bursting with lots of rhyme, rhythm and energy for little ones to enjoy, it's the perfect book for a young reader's first steps on the path to reading independence.

Review

This is a super fun book for young readers. The striking bright pictures make it really appealing to children and the story is great. I read this with my daughter who is 4, and I think soon she will be ready to read it herself.

She delighted in the excitement of the children and staff in the school dressing up for the parade. When she found a character she liked, she said that she wanted to be that one! She also really enjoyed the pages where there is a name drill. She found lots of names she is familiar with who are friends at school. This made the book feel very close to home.

We really enjoyed this book and read it again for consecutive nights, as she wanted it read many times! This will stay on her bookshelf and I look forward to her reading it by herself one day.

This is a little gem book published by Barrington Stoke. Thank you to Barrington Stoke for a advanced reader copy for my unbiased review.
