The Naughtiest Unicorn At Christmas

The Naughtiest Unicorn at Christmas by Pip Bird. Illustrated by David O’Connell

This is a middle grade aged book. This laugh out loud series is hilarious, exciting and adventurous. SPOILER ALERT.. READ END PARAGRAPH TO SKIP SPOILER

A Christmas edition of any series might put a reader off for many reasons. Usually I would be sceptical about a themed book such as this, and worried that it wouldn’t live up to the other books in the series, I was however incredibly wrong.

Mira is a lovely character in this book and a great role model for children. She is so positive and always makes the best of any situation she is in. She has her eye on performing as the  Lost child character in the school Christmas production and Dave becoming the Snow Unicorn. However she is only given the role of the worm and Dave is given the role of the rock!

Mira is unfortunately quite unlucky in parts of this story but always comes out smiling at the end. Because of her positiveness and devotion to her friends and her UBFF ( unicorn best friend forever ) she turns the tide on her bad luck and gets to narrate part of the school Christmas play.

Spoiler finished

With an hilarious Christmas tree quest thrown in to make the story very exciting, this book came out tops for me and my young daughter.
